Marttinen is one of the youth centres supported and overseen by the Finnish Education and Culture Ministry. This diverse centre of ours is in a beautiful natural location in Virrat, Central Finland. It is 100 km from both Tampere and Seinäjoki, 115 km from Jyväskylä and just 270 km from Helsinki. Marttinen is a pleasant, safe environment for a range of groups, courses, training events and other events year-round.
Equality and being together
We are all of equal value, despite our diversity. The environment and our activities must support equality. We would like to see activities that we do together as well as time for people to form groups on their own terms. Our biggest fear is loneliness.
Experiences and diversity
We want adventures and new experiences. Diverse activities, learning new things and nature are important to us. New experiences mean we can learn new skills and take a break from everyday life.
Participation
We are listened to and our opinions matter. We are really listened to when activities are organised, and we are active in the youth centres.
Safety
We want to feel safe in a comfortable environment in which the programme and activities are predictable and in which we can feel that we are listened to.
It is with these values that we can be part of organising your events, camps, celebrations, conferences or other occasions.
Marttinen is one of the eight centres supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture.
